Virginia Distillery Company, a titan in American Single Malt Whisky for whom Trinity had developed its Courage and Conviction brand, had been innovating with its liquids. They asked Trinity to extend the Courage and Conviction look and feel to a broader system that would include rarer offerings like an ultra-premium Double Cask finish and a prestige collection of Single Casks.

Trinity’s design of these higher-end extensions leans heavily into Courage & Conviction’s sophisticated color palette, with the Double Cask taking full ownership of the brand’s equity copper and the Single Casks a full wash of the deep, rich jewel tones. The Single Cask primary uses a prominent strip label with handwritten cask details and a copper bar top, while the secondary uses a subtly coated paper that gives it the feel of fine-grain leather, a copper foil stamp and hand-applied labels with handwritten cask details.
